Onyx engineers and designers have successfully provided services to municipal clients, power companies, and process industry clients needing buildings and infrastructure development. Our ability to coordinate projects internationally, across many entities, has supported our success in providing these services in some cases with the use of sub-consultants.

Buildings projects: Onyx has successfully completed several building projects, ranging from installing prefabricated shelters, building infrastructure to full buildings packages. With the use of client-approved architecture firms, Onyx has delivered full-scale building packages for mechanical control centers, control buildings, and administration buildings. Onyx engineers and designers have also provided complete building infrastructure including power, cooling, fire protection, and data/communication to support installation of lab, control, and administration building expansions. Onyx engineers and designers also provide prefabricated building units on a day to day basis for terminals, truck loading, analyzers, sample stations and many other purposeful uses.
Power generation project: Onyx successfully completed installation of backup power generation for a client’s water distribution system. The diesel power generation project included two diesel generators tied into a municipal power supply with a sophisticated switching to provide uninterrupted plant operation in the event of power outage. Onyx currently manages the maintenance of the system on an ongoing basis.
