Environmental

Onyx engineers have performed many environmental projects, which are unique because they originate outside boundary limits and in many cases include several process units. Onyx engineers and designers are proficient at including multiple unit concerns into meeting project requirements.

Ground water remediation projects: Onyx engineers and designers have performed ground water remediation work for several clients. These projects have included process options and design, front-end engineering, and detailed design. These systems include collection of ground water from numerous plant wide well locations and transporting it to off site water treatment. Systems include tankage, pump stations, water treatment and control systems.
LoNox burner replacement and upgrade projects: Onyx has performed numerous upgrades to LoNox burners in the last few years. These projects require unique designs for each installation due to very compact revamp conditions. Onyx engineers and designers routinely identify project requirements and restraints and succeed by working collectively with the client to meet mandated performance guidelines.
Fugitive emission (NESHAPS) projects: Onyx has performed process engineering, front-end engineering, detailed design and construction support for several clients’ NESHAPS projects. Systems include multiple vapor collection locations and transporting to waste processing and flare.
